Layers enable you to manage your model, simulations and analyses and keep them visually and conceptually ‘tidy’. Models can rapidly become very complex and it is helpful to arrange different model objects in different layers.

This enables you to view, or work on, the layer of your choice rather than having to tackle the whole model at once. Layers also enable different members of your team to work on different areas of a model at the same time.
